Job Overview:
As the Ops Tech Project Lead, you will drive operational excellence and commercial impact on key projects in the technology roadmap, focusing on the 'hotel of the future.' Serving as the 'voice of operations,' you’ll provide support to maximize returns and build strong relationships with Support Centre SMEs and suppliers, ensuring ongoing improvements and optimal project performance.
Minimum Skills/Experience Required:
Experience:
- Guest and customer focussed.
- Proven operational experience (ie as a DHM, HM)
- Communications and change experience to Operations
- Understanding of Whitbread brands and Support Centre
- Ability to prioritise and plan ahead
- Self-motivated, driven, able to work independently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to be flexible and manage work under time scale pressures.
Skills:
- Able to influence, negotiate and consult up to regional level.
- Articulate – ability to communicate in a compelling and clear way.
- Communication – ability to engage with people at all levels and ability to build effective working relationships with a broad range of people (up to Director/ROM level)
- Tenacious with attention to detail
- Good written skills with the ability to produce simple, and creative material to a publishable standard.
- Excellent verbal skills
- Excel, Word and PowerPoint Skills (Office 365)
- Experience in working with systems (Opera/Co Pilot, booking systems)
- Must have a full clean (up to date) driving licence
Knowledge:
- Project/Risk planning/Management
- Handling large amounts of data
- Presenting data in an easy-to-understand formats.
- Hands on experience of site Operations and leadership
- Desire to learn new systems and processes in technology projects
