As a Commercial Analyst you’ll play an important role in the implementation, measurement and optimisation of our food and menu pricing and range strategy.
You’ll take direction and guidance from the Commercial Manager and working closely with the Senior Trading Manager and Finance Partner, this role provides analysis and insight to validate our agreed pricing and food range strategy, support effective decision making and ultimately increase sales across all dayparts, and drive profit for the restaurant business.

What you’ll do
You’ll be accountable for providing an authoritative view of the organisation’s food pricing position and range recommendations in a subset of brands within the PI restaurant estate, with a clear understanding of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats – local and national across different price bands, specific brands and associated menus vs the competitive set
You’ll implement, measure and optimise agreed pricing strategies across the restaurant estate to ensure delivery of our agreed market position and sales/profit budgeted targets.
You’ll supporting the Commercial Manager to communicate key pricing strategies in line with the proposed menu/seasonal cycles and in line with the PI&R strategies by brand type.
You’ll utilise MI to identify risks, issues and opportunities to sales/profit delivery and in time work with the Commercial Manager to formulate appropriate changes to our pricing levers to maximise performance and profitability at dish and range level including reviewing and optimising differing daypart value propositions.
What we need
Demonstrable commercial, numerate and results orientation attitude with utmost focus on guests – excellent attention to detail.
Strong commercial acumen with experience in interpreting multiple data sources and able to make informed recommendations to improve and enhance our pricing and range strategy.
An understanding of the basic principles of operating a national/local pricing model.
Excellent influencer and communicator, focused on building relationships across the business
Ability to take a strategic approach to the organisation’s internal and external environment and develop detailed understanding of the organisation and its opportunities for growth.
