Premier Inn’s Group Sales and Leisure Tours team is responsible for driving £35m plus 10% annual growth net revenue through managing group bookings from multiple sources, including emails, enquiry webforms, Travel Management Companies (TMCs), and leisure tour partners.
As an experienced sales leader, you will lead and coach the Group Sales and Leisure Tours team to maximise revenue opportunities by fostering a high-performance sales culture. You will oversee the commercial partnerships with leisure tour partners, prioritising customers with strong materialisation.
Additionally, you will collaborate with the Sales Operations team to ensure rigorous reporting and monitoring of team performance and potential sales leads.
This position ensures seamless operations by managing reservations with precision and efficiency while collaborating with various stakeholders to maximise conversions and enhance guest satisfaction.
The likely successful candidate will have strong sales and people leadership and will typically have experience in hotels, airlines, trains, event companies etc.
Essential knowledge:
- Proficiency in CRM systems, preferably Dynamics.
- Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of financial and pricing strategies to drive profitability.
- Expertise in revenue management principles, including forecasting, pricing strategies, and market segmentation.
- Familiarity with operational aspects of group reservations, including contract negotiation and booking materialisation.
- Understanding of competitor landscapes, customer behaviours, and emerging trends in the leisure and group travel market.

- Ability to lead change and drive innovation within a commercial team.
- Highly numerate with the ability to quickly draw conclusions from data.
- Proven ability to grow and develop customer accounts.
- Strong leadership skills, capable of inspiring and developing a team.
- Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking, and decision-making capabilities.
Essential Expertise:
- Sound judgement based on business and customer understanding
- Experience of sales management, preferably within a large hotel portfolio
- Proven track record of achieving revenue growth in the hospitality sector
- Experience in leading and developing high-performing sales teams
- Strong history of managing and growing commercial partnerships
