Our Technology and Data team is all about creating, testing, and maintaining technology platforms, products, and services. We make sure systems run smoothly, perform well, and are always getting better to keep up with changing business needs.

 

As the expert in Systems Technology at Whitbread and as Release Managers looking after either our People Systems or Hotels & Restaurant Systems,  you’ll lead the design and setup of technology solutions, ensuring they are secure, perform well, and can grow with the business.

 

Role:  Release Manager

Package: Starting From £62,500 + 30% company performance bonus

Contract Type:  Full-Time and Permanent

Location:  Whitbread Court, Dunstable and a hybrid way of working with a minimum of 3 days a week in the office.

What you’ll be doing:

 

As a Release Manager at Whitbread you will help design, develop, test, deploy, and the ongoing maintenance of our technology platforms, products, and services. You will ensure that our systems are reliable, high-performing, and continuously optimized to meet the dynamic needs of the business.

 

You will drive innovation, monitor system performance, address issues, and enhance technology investments. Through technical expertise, teamwork, and the use of emerging technologies, this role will deliver top-notch solutions that support our strategic objectives and drive business success.

 

What you’ll need:

 

  • Ability to manage the entire release lifecycle, from planning and scheduling to deployment and post-release support. This includes understanding and executing the processes, tools, and methodologies involved in ensuring seamless and timely software releases.

 

  • Demonstrate experience in managing the impact of system updates across platforms including experience in rollback strategies, managing failed changes, and working within ITSM frameworks. This should also include experience in prioritising dependencies based on their impact on project timelines, risk, and resource availability to ensure smooth and timely software releases.

 

  • Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with development teams, QA, operations, and stakeholders. This includes providing clear updates, managing risks, and ensuring all teams are aligned for successful releases.
  • Experience in HR Systems
