At Whitbread, home to Premier Inn and over 40,000 team members, we’re on a mission to be the most inclusive hospitality business, driving world-class performance and growth. We’re looking for a passionate leader to manage our Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) programme and deliver impactful change.
In this exciting role, you’ll lead our D&I commitments, focusing on shaping inclusive policies, amplifying our employee networks, helping them to create unforgettable Network Events at key points of the year. You’ll support in the creation of our annual reporting on our D&I commitments, manage our submissions to benchmarks like the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index and ensure we stay at the cutting edge of inclusion in all elements of the business.

Contract Term: Permanent
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000
Location: Whitbread Court, Dunstable, LU5 5XE with hybrid working, you will be required to work at least 3 days a week onsite in our Dunstable campus with some external travel on top of this.

What you will be doing
- Apply deep knowledge of marginalized communitive to shape inclusive business initiatives and policies, consulting networks and external partners as needed.
- Collaborate with networks to amplify their messages, aligning them with the inclusion calendar through early planning, project management, and stakeholder coordination.
- Work closely with senior Stakeholders across the business to deliver commitments and drive an inclusive culture.
- Lead annual D&I submissions, to articulate progress and showcase inclusive practices.
- Managing in-year projects with clear scope, effective stakeholder engagement, and timely delivery within budget using available resources.
- Engage with external events, stay active on LinkedIn, and remain informed on societal debates to bring balanced perspectives to the role.

- Strong understanding of the lived experiences of under-represented groups and key D&I concepts like privilege, social mobility, and bias, with practical application in large organizations.
- Familiarity with evolving D&I research and practices, staying informed on industry trends and approaches.
- Good knowledge of People processes across the employee lifecycle and opportunities to embed inclusivity.
- Proven experience leading a standalone D&I agenda in a large, multi-site business.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including high-quality report writing.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver complex, high-profile projects end-to-end.
