We are looking for 2 new Payroll Analysts who will make a significant impact in our People Team. We are Whitbread, a leader in the hospitality industry and a FTSE 100 business.
We are seeking a Payroll Analyst to join our People team in a pivotal role ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our 40,000 employees across multiple territories.
This exciting role puts you at the forefront of our payroll transformation, following the successful implementation of Dayforce, our cutting-edge system that went live in July!
As a Payroll Analyst, you'll work closely with our Managed Services payroll provider, offering expert guidance on payroll matters and ensuring all team members are paid correctly. Location: Dunstable LU5 5XE (3 Days a week minimum in office)
Contract Type: Fixed Term – until end of February 2025

What you’ll do:
- Assist the Senior Payroll Analyst with accurate end-to-end payroll processing.
- Support tax year-end/start, P11D & NIC payments, and business recharge.
- Handle all parental leave processes including letters, payment schedules, and ‘keep in touch days.’
- Conduct monthly payroll audits and balancing.
- Review and check payments and investigate and support payroll overpayments.
- Check daily payroll bank statements and process payroll journals.
What we need:
- A strong payroll background within a payroll team or processing payroll for a medium - large organisation.
- Experience within using a Payroll HR system. Dayforce would be advantageous.
- Excellent knowledge of UK payroll legislation.
- Ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Methodical with an attention to detail whilst working at pace.
